since my last update I've set my eBay store for better look and navigation. I've added more countries beside Israel, and also I've added more topical items.

My sales are picking up a step by step due to promotions and sales that I'm doing in my store.

After long period for not writing about stamps and coins due to a lot of thing that happened to me - moving to other city , no computer and Internet connection for 4 months. Now I'm back and in full power to write about my selling at eBay and also Info about stamps ( mostly from Israel ) .

eBay Store - Coins And Stamps Sales - May 2016

Now I will share with you my eBay store numbers for the month of May 2016:

Number of sold items: 33

Total Sales: $151.55

Total Costumers: 20 (All of them are new costumers)

This month I had good month, this is my first month as a full time seller at eBay. my eBay store numbers showing increase in the terms of Impressions, Click thru rate, Listing page views and Sales conversion rate.

At the beginning I had only Israel MNH with tab stamps and FDC's, in the last days of May I've entered few more countries: Swaziland, Ryukyu Islands  and Bayern.

Penny stamp sells for more than $700,000

In march 2016 penny red plate 77 was sold to a privet collection, I have few penny red in my collection but not this one :-) , I have few other uniqe stamps that I will tell you about them later on.

"An incredibly rare Penny Red has become the UK’s second most valuable stamp after being sold to to an unnamed British collector for £495,000 (aprrox. $707,000).

The sale was arranged by London-based dealers Stanley Gibbons, which said the Plate 77 Penny Red is one of only five used examples known to the world of philately – another of which is held in the British Museum.

Coins and Stamps in your Investment Plan?

Is it a good idea to put coins and stamps(and some Art) in your investment plan?
I think it is a good idea to put coins and stamps in your long term plan of investment, like stocks and bonds. The prices in the last 20 years (since I've started to collect stamps and coins) rose by thousand percents. Now days there are less and less stamps due to the postal services and technology (e-mail) and the governments that issue coins due to metal prices that rose also thousand percents in the last 20 years.
I can tell you that my catalogue value of my first stamps album rose from $1000 (20 years ago) to $6,000 those days, so if it will keep that way(I think it will) I can sell that this stamp album for $8,000 in 5 years, and give the other albums to my kids so they will keep and grow the stamps collection and also the coins collection.

Guide To Collecting Stamps

It is not as easy to collect stamps as it once was, in these days of email and envelopes that arrive with a pre-printed meter mark, rather than a stamp. However, stamp collecting is still one of the world's most widespread and potentially inexpensive collecting hobbies.
The easiest (and free) way to get stamps is to simply get them from the mail. Domestic stamps you can get simply from your own mail, and by asking friends and family members to save the stamps from their mail. If you want a larger number of stamps, you might be able to get the discarded envelopes from incoming mail at your office. Getting stamps from different countries can be a little tricker, although import/export businesses can be a rich source for stamp collectors. That is how I started my own collection, getting stamps from my dad's office, where the company did business all over the world.
There is no "right" or "wrong" way to collect stamps. Because collecting "The Whole World" is an overwhelming task (there are 100s of stamp issuing postal administrations), most people choose an area or specialty to focus on. This could be anything from a particular country, to a region, to a "topic" like "cats on stamps." I even met one collector who only collected stamps that we're postmarked on their birthday. Likewise, some people only collect mint (unused) stamps, while others prefer used stamps that have been through the mail.

About Me

I have been collecting stamps since I was 16 years old. I became more seriously  interested around the age of 21. At that time I started to narrow my collecting interests, and began collecting: Great Britain, Australian States , Iran , Japan, USA, most of them are postally used,and also I have Israel MNH With Tab. Currently, I am trying to make new trading friends. I have many stamps to trade,  I am looking for many newer stamps that I want to acquire through trading.

I also Have a Delcampe Store  for Coins And Stamps, that I update every day for new items that I have in my collection, due to my divorce I'm paying alimony so I need the money, that is why i'm selling my collection.
